Building Maintenance

The Building Maintenance Division is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of city-owned facilities and buildings. Their key functions include:

  1. Routine Maintenance: Performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to ensure buildings remain safe and functional.
  2. Repairs and Renovations: Addressing repairs needed due to wear and tear, damage, or aging infrastructure, and overseeing renovation projects to improve facility conditions.
  3. Preventive Maintenance: Implementing scheduled maintenance to prevent costly repairs and prolong the lifespan of buildings and systems.
  4. HVAC, Plumbing, & Electrical Systems: Maintaining essential building systems like heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical to ensure safety and efficiency.
  5. Emergency Repairs: Responding quickly to urgent issues such as leaks, power outages, or structural problems to minimize disruption and maintain safety.
  6. Facility Upgrades: Planning and executing upgrades to improve energy efficiency, accessibility, and overall functionality.
