The Streets Division of the Public Works Department is committed to ensuring the city’s roadway network is safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents, visitors, businesses, and emergency services. The division plays a crucial role in preserving public infrastructure and supporting community mobility.

Purpose

To maintain and improve the city's street infrastructure through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and ongoing street improvement projects, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for all modes of travel.

Services Provided

· Pothole Repair – Quick-response patching of potholes and pavement defects to ensure driver safety and minimize vehicle damage.

· Street Sweeping – Routine cleaning of streets to reduce debris, prevent drainage blockages, and enhance overall appearance.

· Snow and Ice Removal – Plowing, salting, and sanding during winter events to keep roadways passable and minimize accidents.

· Sign Installation & Maintenance – Upkeep and replacement of street name signs, regulatory signs, and traffic control signage.

· Curb & Gutter Repairs – Repair or replacement of damaged curbs, gutters, and stormwater channels.

· Asphalt Resurfacing & Patching – Routine maintenance and resurfacing to extend the life of city streets.

· Traffic Control Assistance – Support for parades, events, detours, or emergencies requiring road closures or traffic redirection.
