Public Works
The Public Works Department is essential to maintaining the infrastructure and services that support the community's daily life. Their primary responsibilities include:
1. Road Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining streets, sidewalks, and public pathways to ensure safe and accessible transportation.
2. Stormwater Management: Managing drainage systems, stormwater ponds, and flood control measures to prevent flooding and protect property.
3. Traffic Control: Installing and maintaining traffic signals, signage, and street markings for safety and efficient traffic flow.
4. Public Facilities Maintenance: Upkeep of parks, recreational facilities, public buildings, and other city-owned properties.
5. Street Sweeping and Cleanup: Regular cleaning of streets, alleys, and public areas to keep the community clean and safe.
6. Construction and Capital Projects: Managing infrastructure projects such as road improvements, new facilities, and utility upgrades.
7. Environmental Sustainability: Implementing initiatives related to sustainability, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
